Sup'EnR, engineering institute in renewable energies

Sup’EnR is the only engineering institute in France that is specifically dedicated to power engineering and renewable energies.

Sup’EnR is a public institute accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur – the main committee responsible for the evaluation and accreditation of higher education institutions for training professional engineers in France. As a degree delivered by the University of Perpignan Via Domitia, it benefits from the specific environmental and energy research facilities that the University has to offer (in particular the PROMES laboratory which manages the Odeillo solar furnace and the Thémis solar power tower). It is also in a unique location: Sup'EnR is located right in the heart of a renewable energies campus. Find out more.

Sup’EnR is one of the INSA group’s partners and trains energetics and process engineering students, using a global sustainable development-approach.

The Sup'EnR engineering programme lasts five years:
  • The first part of the course (first two years) is undertaken at the Department of Science and Technologies for Engineering (STPI) at the Toulouse INSA (national institute of applied sciences).
  • The third, fourth and fifth years of the engineering degree are undertaken entirely at the University of Perpignan site.
Students are recruited for the degree post-baccalaureate by the INSA (national institute of applied sciences) group.
